Psalm 63:1-4

"O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water. Thus I have seen You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name." ~Psalm 63:1-4
There is absolutely nothing that can replace a personal revelation from God, either by way of visitation or revelation in the Word.It isn't enough to to rely on what we hear from our Pastors or read in a book - no matter how learned or experienced the person doing the telling might be. Maturing in Christ demands of us to seek and see Him for ourselves; His works, His power, His glory. We must come to know Him first-hand - and when we do nothing else will ever satisfy except being in His presence. We become single-minded and insatiable in seeking His presence, like seeking water in a desert.

Be blessed in His presence!

Psalm 23

"The Lord is my SHEPHERD..." The Lord Jesus is my ruler, my guide, my friend. He is my herdsman that keeps me company when I'm alone - He is my Pastor.

"...I shall not want." As my ruler, my guide and my friend, the Lord will provide ALL that I need and I will not want for no thing!

"He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters." The Lord gives me rest when I need it. He leads me to where I need to be and leaves me to rest in the comfort of His presence where I am safe.

"He restores my soul" The Lord refreshes me when I can't do it myself. When hope is lost He is there with me, giving me strength.

"He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake."
I can not lean on my own understanding, but instead must learn to trust in the Lord. If I acknowledge Him in everything I do HE will lead me in righteousness on the path that He chose for me before time began!

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil;
For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me."
No matter what I face, even death, I will fear nothing for the Lord Jesus, the creator of the universe, and ALL contained in it is with me! The most powerful force that exists has got my back - whom shall I fear? No weapon formed against me shall prosper because He is there to crush it with His rod (club; word; power). His staff rescues me when I'm in trouble!

"You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;"
Even when surrounded by enemies, the Lord sets before me a feast, a banquet of safety in His word, His blood, His purpose for me. He is my shield and my strength!

"You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over." The Lord has anointed me to do His work, according to His will and plan, not mine. He has bestowed on me an exceeding abundance of blessings - so much so that I bubble over with His love!

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life"
I am surrounded by angels, protecting me at all times. Their names are determined by their function - SURELY will always be there when I call; GOODNESS will invade my heart and cause me to act righteously, even when I am too weak to do it myself; MERCY enables me to to show the love and compassion of Christ to all I encounter. These protectors will be with me always!

And at the end of the race, when I lay my head down for the last time on this earth, when I breath my last breath, I will instantly be transported into the presence of God and there I will live through all eternity!

"And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever."

Thanksgiving 2014

"Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations."
~Psalm 100

"O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker."
~Psalm 95:1-6

We praise you and thank you oh Lord! We praise you for who you are, Lord of Lords and King of Kings! We thank you for dying for our sins that we might be set free of ALL affliction and enter into eternal salvation by your grace! Thank you Lord!

Ephesians 3:14-19

"For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God."
Even though Paul was in prison at the time of this writing, he prayed for his brothers and sisters in Ephesus, not that they would be healed of disease or delivered from demonic oppression or or from persecution. Paul prays that of ALL the riches of God the Father's glory that they be filled with the Holy Spirit, "to be strengthened with might through HIS Spirit in the inner man" so that they may be able to begin to grasp the fullness of God, which is beyond understanding in human terms - width, length, depth or height - but is only possible by the supernatural infilling of the Holy Spirit. Paul states that it is by way of immersion in the Holy Spirit that Christ can truly "dwell in our hearts". This is the baptism into the Holy Spirit - the baptism into Jesus Christ.

Signs of the Coming Kingdom (Malcolm Hedding)

"Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has an ear to hear, let him hear." Matthew 13:43
Dear Friends,
Cheryl and I are currently in Jerusalem walking the glorious ancient streets of God's holy City.
A biblical new year has begun here and though, as usual, the expectations for prosperity and peace are given voice by the good wishes that are exchanged between people the fact is we are increasingly experiencing the birth-pangs of an approaching glorious kingdom.
Humankind's attempt at a new world order is fast running out of steam since it just cannot find the righteousness that goes with justice and peace. Violence, war, mayhem and disease is our ever present reality and it will get worse because the world has rejected and in many cases, as in the West, abandoned the good news that Jesus brings to it. Things can only go downhill in a context like this but at the bottom of the hill the world will meet with the judgment of God. Does all this sound dismal to you? It should and it's not negative for those who have a personal relationship with God by Jesus Christ.
We have known for a long time that God is going to shake all things in a last attempt to get the attention of a world that is increasingly plunging into chaos and darkness. (Hebrews 12:25-29) Jesus Himself declared that a time of tribulation and difficulty would come upon the earth such as the world has never seen! (Matthew 24:21) The intention of God is to induce repentance in humankind before it is too late. Sadly scripture, foreseeing these times, declares "and they repented not." (Revelation9:20) The chaos will then continue!
However, the God of the Bible will stop at nothing in order to capture the attention of the world but chiefly that of His people and so this year has witnessed the beginning of the Tetrads or blood moons over Israel. Though some have scoffed at this they have been proved wrong in that indeed Israel has been plunged into war and the wider Middle East region has fallen into a new barbarism that has not been seen since the Middle Ages. These have always been the warnings or harbingers of blood moons. Indeed we should all be wary about strange phenomenon but the Bible itself declares that God will use the luminaries to speak to the world of danger and judgment and He is. (Genesis 1:14) In recent days we have all been enthralled as pictureof the new blood moon are being sent across the world on the social media. These have been confirmed by Nasa and they will appear again next year. We have all been warned even though the scoffers will discount it all. (2 Peter 3:3-4)
The truth is a glorious kingdom is coming and it is coming soon. Jesus promised to return to the earth to save it from "self destruction." ( Mark 13:26) He will put His feet again on the Mt. Of Olives and He will usher in a true new world order of peace, justice and righteousness. (Acts 1:11-12) Everything Jesus ever said came to pass exactly as He gave voice to it and He will most assuredly come again as the "lightning flashes from the east to the west." (Matthew 24:27) That for which the world longs for and can only dream about is coming soon and it will come through a Jewish Jerusalem and this is what makes the restoration of Israel to the city so vital and important. It also triggers a conflict, induced by dark unseen demonic powers, over the city of a huge and serious nature. (Revelation 16:12-16)That conflict is approaching! This in addition means that Christians have to join it, on behalf of Israel, with the very real and powerful weapon of prayer. ( 2 Corinthians 10:4) This weapon when rightly used can bring down visible empires and has; just ask Daniel the Prophet!
Together with this weapon of prayer we also embrace the weapons of faith and praise. That is, we believe and declare God's word and we rejoice in the fact that good will win out over evil and righteousness and justice will overcome wickedness and oppression. It is in fact the Feast of Tabernacles that declares these truths in a unique and dynamic manner. It is the feast of the triumph of the Kingdom of God and it embraces all peoples and nations in its vision and sphere of influence. One day all nations will ascend year by year to Jerusalem to celebrate this Feast as an expression of gratitude and thanksgiving to the Prince of Peace for saving the world from evil and ushering in a kingdom of true love. ( Zechariah 14:16-17)
This week, as thousands of Christians ascend to Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles, they do so with the knowledge that now they are part of the battle to bring in the approaching kingdom with prayer and praise but then, in the not too distant future, the long night will be over and humankind will finally be at rest since the King a Himself will "rule the nations with a rod of iron." ( Revelation 12:5)
Hold these truths close to your heart because they are faithful and true!
May the Lord bless you richly from Jerusalem,
Malcolm Hedding

Curable Wounds (Teaching sermon from Sept. 2014)

Life has its way of injuring us, doesn’t it? Have you been wounded? Does the injury you carry seem incurable to you—a hurt that seems too deep to heal? Have you lost hope for relief from the pain you are bearing?

Maybe it was a criticism that cut you deep at an early age. Maybe it is a recurring offense from someone very important to you, a relative, a friend, a teacher or even a pastor. Maybe it’s a laceration or scar from a past abuse; physical, sexual or Spiritual. I’m talking about a wound that remains buried most of the time, but pops up to the surface when the circumstances are just right. For a reason that you can’t explain you get angry, feel resentment, rejection or self-pity - somehow that you’re different, not worthy of that job, not worthy of God’s love because of some seemingly awful thing that you’ve done or are doing. If that fits you, then this message was custom made for you!

I’m here to tell you that there is nothing you can do or have done to make God love you any less! – and likewise there’s no good thing that you can do to make Him love you more. God loves you ‘Just the way you are'. God loves you more than you can possibly comprehend - because we, as human beings, are limited by our humanness, our fleshy parts just can’t grasp it. It’s only when we get outside ourselves and let the Holy Spirit operate in and through us that we can even begin to scratch the surface of understanding how much God loves us. The Word of God proves out how much He loves us:

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. That whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life”

Romans 5:8 “God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

If you are carrying such a wound, a wound that you think is incurable, as well as its recurring pain, tonight is your night!  Everything is about to change for you! Our God is the God of the turn around and He’s about to turn your life
around! Give God a shout of praise right now!

A Physical Wound

When I was a kid of about 12 I began to study Jiu-jitsu and in the third level of Jiu-jitsu there’s a throw called the “Tomoe Nage”, and the Tomoe Nage is primarily a defensive move and is used when you have an opponent coming at you head on. You simply use his momentum to throw him over your head by grabbing his hands, sticking your foot in his gut and just laying down and throwing him backward, over your head in one motion – you see this in a lot of James Bond movies – it’s a basic Judo move learned at the Green belt level and there are variations on up through Black belt.

Anyway, the instructor picked me to demonstrate this move on and when he threw me I hit hard on my lower back, an injury which permanently ended my Jiu-Jitsu training.
Some 31 years later, in 1999, I took a fall down a flight of stairs that not only re-injured that wound but also herniated two disks and chipped my tail bone – something that plagued me with intense pain for the next 13 years. I say 13 years because I don’t have it any more!

Those that have heard my testimony know that I grew up with minister parents, surrounded by Christian leaders in my house on a regular basis. I was saved at 14 and over the next three years had witnessed incredible healing miracles first hand in my parent’s home church. Cancers ran away in fear and people were set free from every possible wound you can imagine. When I was still a teen I got involved in the music business and it ruined me. Within 3 years I was completely out of control, doing drugs, drinking, carousing – drugs, sex and rock-n-roll. I was lost – and I stayed that way for 40 years.

In 2012 I made my prodigal return and one Saturday night about 5 weeks later I pulled my back out. The next morning was Sunday and nothing could keep me from going to church! It took me 10 minutes to walk to the shower and as I stood there crying in agony, I remembered the words of Jesus in John 14:12-14, when He explained that it was time for Him to leave them and go to be with His Father but if you believe in Me, everything I have done you will do and even greater things, IF it is to the Glory of the Father and IF you ask it in my name – I WILL DO ANYTHING YOU ASK!!

I claimed my healing in Jesus name, shut off the water and stepped out of the shower. I went from excruciating pain to zero pain in two steps! Give Him praise!!

A Spiritual Wound

Luke 6:45 tells us that we speak with our mouth that which fills our heart. In other words, if we have underlying issues, even hidden issues, going on we will say or do things that can hurt others, sometimes without even realizing it ourselves.

Likewise our thoughts are a reflection of what is happening deep inside us. Our truest feelings come out in our thoughts, whether we speak them or not our thoughts tell us the truth about ourselves, how we really are down deep. Remember out of the ten commandments (which we are still bound to!), nine are related to the physical but the tenth – thou shalt not covet - is all about what we think. Thoughts can be aimed at others or ourselves – but we’re talking tonight about those that manifest in us inwardly. I’m talking about thoughts of anger, resentment, rejection, revenge or retaliation, thoughts of depression and so on. Do you know the Bible tells us that we can defeat our own negative thinking?  The Word of God gives us authority to defeat our own negative thoughts!

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 instructs us that “though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not physical, but mighty through (the Spirit of) God for the pulling down of strong holds.  We are destroying imaginations and everything raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ”

Isn’t that awesome? That God loves us so much that He imparts HIS Spirit into us to combat our own thoughts? The important thing in battling our thoughts is dealing with the cause of those thoughts.

For most of my life whenever I thought of my mother I had mixed ‘feelings’ about her. I knew she loved me very much but somewhere in there was feelings of abandonment, rejection, resentment and sometimes anger. This continued for all of my adult life until last year. One of the primary functions of my ministry is setting people free from these kind of wounds and so I went for training in a new form of setting souls free from oppression. The only prerequisite was that I had to go through it myself so when I got in with the ‘counselor’ I told him I was good – I had nothing to deal with. I had spent seven straight days, 24/7, in repentance when I came back to the Lord and had exhausted everything – even the things I couldn’t remember I laid at the cross. He says well then let’s just pray together. The funniest thing happened when we began to pray - the Lord showed me where those thoughts about my mother came from. It all went back to two events in my young life. One when I was 5 and the other when I was 16.
I was born out in the country in Kentucky and even though we had a neighborhood swimming pool in our little town, I had never learned to swim. I wanted to. I could see that the other kids were having great fun in the pool – but I was too afraid. My entire family moved to Plantation, Florida – up outside of Ft, Lauderdale – when I was 5 and the first year we didn’t have a pool. We were waiting for our new house to be built and so, for that first year, we would visit an uncle across town who had a pool in their apartment complex. Again I was faced with the fear I had of the water – and I was a whinny, whiny little brat too – ok I was a cry baby, yeh.  Whenever anybody would try to get me to go in I’d cry and carry on something horrible. Well, one day my uncle had had enough. He grabbed me and threw me in the deep end and yelled ‘swim!’

Obviously I made it to the side but the Lord showed me, almost in slow motion, that when I was struggling in the pool, I was wondering why my mother didn’t come to my rescue. He showed me that my uncle kept her from it, forcing me to make it on my own. In that instant feelings of abandonment and rejection came flooding over me and I began to cry, just as if it were happening all over again.

Immediately the Lord brought to memory the next event, I was 16. Now, I was the youngest of four kids and my father had died when I was 18 months old – I never knew him. And my mother had remarried. One day they called me in to talk to me and informed me that if I had aspirations of going to college that they were not going to be able to help me financially. They had helped the other three kids through college and there just wasn’t going to be enough money to help me. Again, I had feelings of rejection and abandonment and anger all rolled up in one. That is when the Lord showed me that Satan had told me the biggest lie of my life and one that I believed for 42 years! I was different from everybody else! My mother and step-father didn’t love me the way they loved my brothers and sister!  There was something wrong with me!  I wasn’t worthy!

The Lord showed me how I had been deceived and the weight that I had carried for all those years just dropped off! There was such a peace that came over me I can’t describe, then the Lord Jesus put His arm around me and comforted me, assuring me that I would never again have those mixed thoughts about my mother, that I would only remember her with the love that she had always shown me all her life, that none of what had happened was her fault or mine – I was set free, and the same thing can happen to you tonight!

Is Your Wound Curable?

You have to ask yourself one question, “is my wound curable?”  There’s no psychologist on the planet can help you. No Pastor that can take the hurt away. Nobody can do this for you but the Lord Jesus! The prophet Hosea told Ephraim that he wouldn’t get healing from the King of Assyria. Hosea expresses the correct response to the wounds we experience: “Come, let us return to the Lord, for He will heal us and it is the same today as it was for Ephraim. The Lord Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow! Is your wound curable? Say it:  my wound is curable! MY WOUND IS CURABLE!  I claim my victory in Jesus!

If you sincerely go before the Lord, bare your soul, and ask Him to show you where your negative thoughts, feelings and behavior come from He will shine His spotlight on the issue and set you free. The Lord Jesus Himself will provide the remedy for that which is humanly incurable. Do you want your wound healed tonight? Are You Living in the Wilderness or the Promised Land?

Manna is a basic provision, wilderness food – just getting by. Just getting by is living with the pain of your wounds, accepting that they are part of who you are.
The promised land has gold, silver, good soil, milk & honey - the land of promise and plenty. The land of freedom. For most the issue is that when we try to step into the promised land, which requires work and action on our parts, we panic and go running back to the wilderness to what is ‘comfortable’ because we know that God will provide the manna, the 'basics' for survival.

Living in the Promised Land, Kingdom life, requires us to step out, working the word of God. We must learn how to work the land, plant the seeds and cultivate the crop. It requires us to step out of our 'comfort zone' in the here and now of just existing in the wilderness and demands that we take action - labor and sweat in the fields in order to grow in Him. It’s not comfortable to hang yourself out there but I promise you until you do, you will not see the desired fruit of your Christian walk.

You can be free tonight. Or you can run back to what is safe, and spend the rest of your life in the wilderness, licking your wounds, living in pain with lies that the devil has implanted in your thoughts, your words and your actions.

You know what I say? To hell with the devil!
Say  My wound is curable!   My wound is curable!
I claim my victory in Jesus!
By the blood of Jesus I am set free!

Tonight we go before the Lord and ask Him to show you the lies that Satan has implanted in your life – and we break those chains forever.

ISIS or ISIL? There's a big difference!

One very important bit of information I learned this past week from friend, mentor and Islam expert, Jim Croft, is that there is a marked difference between the names ISIS and ISIL. In the beginning of all this everybody referred to the Islamic terrorist group as ISIS. In fact, if you're like me, the very first time I ever heard them referred to as 'ISIL' came from President Obama - and the difference is HUGE! ISIS stands for the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" while ISIL stands for the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant". The key here is that Levant is a much larger territory than just Iraq and Syria. The Levant comprises several countries around the Eastern Mediterranean including Cyprus, Jordan, Palestine (Gaza), Lebanon, Syria and Israel!! This means that not only does ISIL have eyes on all of Iraq and Syria but the rest of these as well, including ISRAEL, as part of their 'initial conquests'. Of course, radical Islam's overall goal is world domination.

What this also means is that President Obama knew long before the majority of the rest of us what the plans are for ISIL's expansion! This begs the question to be asked of what in the world is he waiting for in calling for all out war on these parasites?

In addition, according to a letter from Prophet Cindy Jacobs, there have been recent statements, from Democrats and Republicans alike, including CIA officers, of ISIL's activities in the U.S.  One such statement came last week from Democrat Senator Bill Nelson of Florida:  "This is a terrorist group the likes of which we haven't seen before, and we better stop them now.  It ought to be pretty clear when they start cutting off the heads of journalists and say they're going to fly the black flag of ISIS over the White House that ISIS is a clear and present danger."

As Christians we must take this threat very seriously and start (if you haven't already) warring in the Spirit! God can thwart this and any terrorist threat against our nation if we will fervently call upon Him (2 Chron. 7:14). It is time to exercise our authority "on earth as it is in heaven" so please pray and come against the demonic powers at work in radical Islam!

•    Pray for President Obama like never before!!  He is president during one of the most dangerous times for America and the world and needs our fervent prayers every day.  Father God, we pray that President Obama would receive accurate information about the strength, location, and plans of ISIS on American soil.  We pray he will have good understanding with real and grave certainty the threat the Islamic state is to this nation and act appropriately in protecting our nation. Give him godly wisdom and bold courage to be an effective commander- in- chief in this  time of war.

•    Pray for wisdom and strategy for the US Congress, Homeland Security, and the US Military:  Father, we pray for our leaders in Congress, Homeland Security and our military to be awake at their posts, armed with accurate and clear intelligence in order to take fast and decisive action against ISIS or any other terrorists before their plots are hatched. Give our leaders godly wisdom, consensus, and coordinated strategies from heaven to defeat our ISIS enemy.

•    Pray for the Exposure of ISIS plots: Father we pray there is nothing covered that will not be revealed or hidden that will not be made known (Matthew 10:26). Expose the whereabouts of ISIS and all terrorist sleeper cells and stop their plans before they can act.

•    Pray protection over our US Military personnel and their families. Father, we pray a hedge of protection around our military and their families. We appropriate Your promises in Psalm 91 that our military and their families will be safe under Your wings. Deliver them from the evil schemes and traps of their enemies. Station Your angels around their homes and vehicles. Watch over them, their spouses, children, and grand children as they go from place to place in their daily lives.

•    Pray for the protection of public places where military personnel and their families may go: Father God, we pray for the protection of our military, their families, and all people in churches, schools, sporting events, transit systems, and other public places that would be a target for terrorists. We declare no evil will come upon men, women, or children in such gatherings and that You uncover and bring to an end every evil plot.

•    Pray for the protection of US Military bases. If you live near or your church is near a military base, begin ongoing prayer meetings for the protection of the base and its personnel. Father, put our military bases on high alert.  May no one with evil intent get past their guards. Give those "watchmen" at their posts supernatural discernment and alertness. Help them to see and stop anything or anyone who brings a threat of danger. Expose and thwart every evil plan aimed at our military bases or their personnel.

In the words of Paul, "pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance" (Ephesians 6:18)

God bless you!

Sometimes It Is Darkest Before the Dawn

God moves when everything else says "it's impossible". Sometimes we can find ourselves in 'impossible situations', situations where it would appear that, despite all our prayers and faith, there is no solution and not even a hope for a solution on the horizon to grasp at - but we keep the faith, praying and praising God in the storm. These are the times when the God of miracles steps in and shows His love for us. God rewards faith when we exercise it. "By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the army had marched around them for seven days."

God sometimes allows dark hours just before the dawn. This is what happened to the Israelites fleeing Egypt. Right before God moved, everything became worse. The Isrealites were in the middle of the Red Sea with Pharaoh on their heels. The people panicked and cried to God for help. In response God closed the sea on their enemy - but why did He wait so long? Why didn't God close the sea before Pharaoh came? Sometimes God allows the situation to turn critical in our minds, until we reach the point when we realize there is no hope unless God performs a miracle - and God receives ALL the glory! God is not necessarily moved by our circumstances - but He is moved by our faith and praise. Praise Him in the Storm!

But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name may rejoice in you.

Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield.

~Psalm 5:11-12

Christian Authority

As Christians, understanding the power that we carry is all about understanding our positioning and exercising our authority. When we accepted Jesus the old us became dead to sin. Ephesians 2:6 further explains that we have been resurrected with Christ and are seated at the right hand of the Father with Christ. We may be walking around on earth physically but our Spirits are with Christ and He in us! In Kingdom positioning, the right hand position is a position of authority. This is mirrored in this world with Kings and Queens. By being seated with Christ, we occupy the same position of authority with Him. While Jesus is seated, He has given us His 'power of attorney', His full authorization to act on His behalf while we're still (physically) on earth! When the body of Christ comes to understand this we can accomplish anything! Moving mountains? (both literal and Kingdoms) NOTHING! Raising the dead? NOTHING! Calming the storm? CHILD'S PLAY! It is this authority that Jesus has imparted to us that heals the sick. Jesus never prayed "Oh please Father, heal this man". He took authority and COMMANDED the condition to be gone - and in doing so gave the example of how we are to 'pray' for healing. Jesus never said "Oh please Father please, deliver this man from demons" No. He took authority over the demonic and COMMANDED it out! I believe that when Jesus said, "He who is not with Me is against Me" can be applied to ALL things, that basically He was saying 'If its not of God, it's from the other side'.

It is time for the body to realize the individual and corporate power that we carry around with us every day - and start using it the way that Christ intended. WE WERE NOT BORN AGAIN TO BACK DOWN...WE WERE BORN AGAIN TO SMACK DOWN!

~ You are blessed!

Chavda Ministries Watch Focus (Sept 5-2014), Sound the Jubilee

Chavda Ministries Weekly Watch Focus:  Sound the Jubilee

FRIDAY, Sept. 5, The distinct blast of the trumpet across Israel released the Year of Jubilee. This was a great season of release from bondage, debt, and restoration of family and property. Some rabbis believe that this coming Rosh Hashanah, September 24-26, will usher in the next year of Jubilee. We believe as Christians that the person of Jesus Christ is our Jubilee fulfilled. This is a prophetic time for us to apprehend by faith fresh Jubilee blessings. May our families, finances, and churches experience a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit for restoration in this hour.

In fulfillment of the promises of Isaiah 61, Jesus came and declared, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me!” (Luke 4:18). Let us set our hearts to fast and pray together starting September 8 for a 21-day corporate fast. We invite you to join with us in these days of humbly seeking the face of the Lord for His mercy and grace, with personal and national repentance. May the Lord heal our land and disrupt and destroy every satanic plan of terrorism, violence, or oppression against us. Let us remember Jesus’ words that “this kind goes out only by prayer and fasting.”
Lev. 25:8-12, “And you shall count seven sabbaths of years for yourself, seven times seven years; and the time of the seven sabbaths of years shall be to you forty-nine years. Then you shall cause the trumpet of the Jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement you shall make the trumpet to sound throughout all your land. 10 And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee for you; and each of you shall return to his possession, and each of you shall return to his family. That fiftieth year shall be a Jubilee to you; in it you shall neither sow nor reap what grows of its own accord, nor gather the grapes of your untended vine. For it is the Jubilee; it shall be holy to you; you shall eat its produce from the field.

Duet. 15:1-23, “At the end of every seven years you shall grant a release of debts. And this is the form of the release: Every creditor who has lent anything to his neighbor shall release it; he shall not require it of his neighbor or his brother, because it is called the Lord’s release. Of a foreigner you may require it; but you shall give up your claim to what is owed by your brother, except when there may be no poor among you; for the Lord will greatly bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance— only if you carefully obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe with care all these commandments which I command you today. For the Lord your God will bless you just as He promised you; you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you.”

Luke 4:18, ” “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.”

Global Prayer For Israel TODAY!

"We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12)
During the recent conflict in Gaza, I had visitors coming from abroad to see me in Jerusalem. They were arriving late at Ben-Gurion Airport, so while waiting at home to go pick them up I decided to watch the latest news on TV and the Web.For several hours, I flipped on different TV news channels and opened my laptop to Israeli news sites. After this massive wave of reports, images, and analysis of current events worldwide, I stopped to think.
The Evil Behind the Scenes

The news media had brought coverage of the ISIS terror militia in Iraq, clashes in Libya, Hamas rockets in Gaza, hurricanes, earthquakes, and the Ebola virus in Africa. I also thought how terrorist groups like al-Qaeda, Boko Haram in Nigeria, and al-Shabaab in Somalia are adding to the chaos and human suffering in our world.

I could hear the words of Jesus echoing: "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. . . there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places . . . look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near" (Matthew 24:6-7; Luke 21:28).
The stage is slowly being set for King Jesus to return from heaven and deliver us from all evil!
But, I could see as well how, behind all this senseless violence by evil men in so many places, there was the influence of evil spirits, led by Satan himself!

Works of the Devil

Satan is no friend! He is the enemy of all humanity. Not only is he the father of all lies, but according to Jesus he is also a murderer who comes only to steal, kill, and destroy (John 8:44; 10:10). Unfortunately, we see his works all around.

Even though suffering in this life remains a mystery, the Bible is clear on this: Satan and his evil spirits can impact world events through the minds and actions of those people who agree with him (Ephesians 2:1-3). They are inspired and draw their power from evil sources. As a result, humanity is suffering, in confusion, filled with hatred, fear, and hopelessness.

Christian Suffering in the Middle East

It is painful to see the consequences of evil spirits ruling the lives of men. One sad expression of this murderous spirit at this time is the hatred of Muslim extremists towards Christians in the Middle East. Even while I am writing this, ISIS is beheading, crucifying, slaughtering and persecuting Christians by the thousands in Syria and Iraq.

Three hundred thousand Iraqi Christians have fled ISIS brutality this summer. They were given four stark choices: convert to Islam, pay the jizya tax, flee, or be murdered.
Hamas also constantly persecutes and threatens the small flock of Christians in Gaza.
What is it like to be a follower of Jesus in today's Iraq, Syria, Gaza, or other areas under Islamic rule? We really need to stop and think about it!
In our civilized Western societies, Christians are not being beheaded. Instead, it is relatively easy to follow Jesus. If any persecution comes, it is usually only verbal, or we may be shunned at work or our career advancement hindered. But, this is not the case in the Middle East, where Israel is the only true democracy that protects religious freedoms.

It is obvious that the spirit behind Islam is not the same as the Holy Spirit working in our lives. No, it is a spirit of anti-Christ, which wants Christians to submit as slaves under the rule of Islam. And, it is at physical war against Christians, wanting to eradicate them not only from the Middle East, but from all the earth!

Hope in Christ

However, we as followers of Jesus do not wage war against flesh and blood; that is, against human beings. We discern the spirit behind the evil deeds of men, and honor everyone as created in the image of God.

Our message is one of forgiveness and reconciliation in Jesus. That is, reconciliation first with God, and then between men of different religious, cultural, ideological, and ethnic backgrounds. The Gospel has the power to change lives. It is the message of hope for all peoples and cultures.
The character of God and fruit of the Spirit revealed in the person of Jesus is available for all men! (Hebrews 1:3; Galatians 5:22-23; Colossians 3:12-15; 1 Timothy 3:16)

Our weapons are spiritual and hope-filled. Their origin is in the goodness of God and they bring healing and truth to human hearts.

The Powerful Weapon of Prayer

So the Body of Christ needs to exercise their spiritual weapons, especially the power of prayer. We have been called to fast and pray for God's will to be done on earth, for Him to deliver us from evil, and bring down demonic strongholds (Ephesians 6:10-17; Colossians 2:15; Hebrews 2:14; Romans 16:20; Matthew 6:13).

We know His will for mankind is good, and that He wants righteousness and peace to prevail (Luke 2:14; Isaiah 2:1-4; 1 Timothy 2:1-7). This is why we wage war in the unseen world with our prayers to God.

The Same Evil Targets Israel

The spiritual rulers of darkness manifest in real time, space, and history. These evil forces are influencing today's terrorist groups to ruthlessly kill Christians, and not to stop there but to target Israel and the Jewish people too!

Israel has been on the front-line of the battle against radical jihadists for many decades now, targeted by the exact same evil principalities as the region's Christians! Israel is actually fighting a spiritual battle against evil when protecting its own citizens.
It is truly part of our spiritual warfare "against the rulers of the darkness of this age" both to raise our voices on behalf of persecuted Christians under the thumb of radical Islam, and to stand alongside Israelis in their fight against this same evil.

Taking Responsibility

Israelis refuse to give in to these wicked powers or let their destiny slip into evil hands. They boldly keep their destiny in their own hands, which upsets the international community. Many world leaders see Israel endangering other nations by courageously resisting evil.
But if these leaders, especially in the West, refuse to accept their responsibility and do not stand alongside Israel, they will soon experience the same spiritual evil invading their lands. This violent spirit seeks to physically attack Christians and Jews in many nations - Europe and the United States included. It wants to suppress our freedom to share God's word while also silencing any honest evaluation of Islam.

Hope for the Entire World

But I can see hope in the midst of all this, if the Church worldwide will catch the wind of the Spirit, repent and allow God to change us from within.
Will we keep the glorious destiny of the Church in her own hands and not yield it to the forces of darkness? Will we guard the treasures, spiritual weapons, and gifts entrusted to the Church? And, will we keep resisting Satan to the very end? (2 Timothy 1:14; James 4:7; Matthew 4:1-11)

This kind of Church will infuse hope to Israel and to all nations in our common struggle against evil!
Yours in Christ!
