Matthew 18:19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning
anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven”
One of Mark’s first teachers, Derek Prince, used to say, “It’s not
so much a matter of getting God to answer our prayers, as it is getting Him to
hear our prayers.” Scripture is clear that if
God hears us, He will answer…but we
have control of the volume. It comes through agreement.
In Mark 11:25 and Matthew 6:14, Jesus said “When you
stand praying and you have anything against anyone, first forgive.” So,
this pipeline with God begins at a personal level. You must clear the
atmosphere between you and heaven by dealing with those relationships where a
vibration of bitterness and unforgiveness is hindering your sound.
As you pray for our nation in these days of fasting, humbling,
and repentance, it’s “we” not “they” that have sinned. It’s we that are responsible for the state of
our nation, not sinners. And in that light, we are to be priests, standing in
the broken down place in intercession for America’s future, not proclaiming
judgment.
There is a thick fog of chaos hanging over the atmosphere of America. It comes from the voices both secular and from the Church pronouncing judgment on America and is hindering the clear sound of heaven. God is not judging America. We live in a time of amnesty that began when Jesus went to Calvary and will continue until His return to judge the nations. He is now seated in heaven, ever making intercession, and has ordained us to join in harmony with Him. He has good plans for our future. Will we agree with the Lamb who sits on the throne for the turning of our nation? Will we harmonize together to make a sound that is heard in heaven? Let us clear our spiritual atmosphere so we can make a clear sound in heaven.
Day 3 Prayer: Ask the Holy Spirit to show you areas where you need to clear the air and forgive.
